Third Sundays at TBC: Authentic Relating

Join Tim Behrens and Brian Fritz for an afternoon of Authentic Relating games and practices. In a time where we are more connected, and equally distracted, by technology, there is a growing need for meaningful connections within Sangha. By taking the time to be fully present
with others and engaging in genuine, heartfelt conversations, we can foster a greater sense of connection, and intentional community.
What is Authentic Relating?
Authentic Relating “games” are interactive exercises done in pairs, or groups, and are designed to help participants go beyond the small talk while exploring deeper levels of connection. They encourage a practice of open communication, active listening, empathy, vulnerability, and self-discovery. They will challenge, and support, you in stepping outside of your comfort zone, in making new friends, and in experiencing the many facets of human connection.
About the Hosts:
Tim Behrens is a musician, writer, process artist, and moderator for Awkwardly Zen, a Denver-based spiritual Meetup group. Since 2019, he has attended a number of trainings and events with Authentic Revolution and ART International, two of the founding organizations for Authentic Relating, and is excited to be a part of bringing those practices to Kansas City.
Brian Fritz is a trauma informed yoga teacher, stress management and life coach, and student of Nonviolent Communication. Brian has a passion to share the many modalities that have helped him to connect in a healthy way to self and others and navigate life. After completing his yoga teacher training with Emily Darling in 2002, he began to partner with Tim Behrens in co-hosting Authentic Relating events and is looking forward to helping others find community and connect through these practices.
