Hello beautiful Burly Trail Runners!!! It's coming up on that time of year where I hold my annual F#@K Cancer run! This is a run I have done every year (except for 2023) since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2017, to raise money for a fantastic organization, Rethink, which helped myself and hundreds of other young women diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Three years ago, I decided to turn it into an event where I can share this amazing day with my friends and we can all run to our hearts content.Rethink Breast Cancer is based out of Toronto and is a "bold charity helping young people who are concerned about and affected by breast cancer."
I myself, plan to run 100km's to celebrate 7 YEARS! Since I was diagnosed. And best of all, two years being cancer FREE! I invite you all to come out and do as many km's as you would like. Use this as a day to accomplish goals, support each other, and just be the amazing community that you are!
The route will be a 12.5km loop starting at Sanctuary Park,(location may possibly change but will still head towards the same route) heading along the Rail Trail to the Monarch Trail head, off of Little John Road.
This will be a self supported event so make sure to bring your gear and nutrition.
So lets raise spirits, raise awareness, and come out for some good times!
