Everyone is invited to learn more about the early history of our church. Did you know the Old Wappetaw Cemetery behind the SeeWee Restaurant in Awendaw had a Meeting House and Pastor before it was burned to the ground by the British in 1782? Did you know that New Wappetaw church in McClellanville and Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church are sister churches? Come learn the facts at the Third Act monthly luncheon on Monday February 24th at 12 Noon. Bring a friend and come on your lunch hour to hear this interesting history. Also bring a covered dish to share, meat will be provided.Our guest speaker is Huger McClellan, from McClellanville, who has done a lot of research on Old Wappetaw Cemetery and has an interesting powerpoint presentation to share with us. The names on the tombstones at Old Wappetaw Cemetery are all familiar names in our community.
