Children learn about themselves and their world by experiencing artistic and practical work, imaginative play, fairy tales, puppetry, music, and circle games. Because children learn primarily through imitation, teachers strive to create and maintain an environment that is worthy of the child’s imitation.

$480 for 12 weeks (includes snack and supplies)
Seasonal celebrations bring the wonder of nature. Songs, verse, and stories presented in the oral tradition provide a developmentally appropriate introduction to language study. A foundation for mathematical concepts is laid through rhythmic movement, finger plays, and circle games. Simple toys made from natural materials stimulate the imagination. The imagination is further developed through a variety of artistic activities including painting, drawing, beeswax modeling, and seasonal crafts.
Nancy Lewis is certified as a Waldorf Early Childhood and Grades Teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience who started her career as a public school K-12 art teacher. Beth Lattery trained with Nancy Lewis as a Waldorf Early Childhood assistant.
