About this Event
Lots of people share food with their pets. You may give some scraps of meat to your cat or be forced to pay the “cheese tax” to your dog whenever you cook, but there are lots of things our furry friends should never eat.
This lecture will explain the idea of poisons and why sometimes what is good for us, is bad for our pets. Speaker Karen Beech will cover some of the most common household items that are poisonous for cats and dogs, how they affect the animal and how to spot signs that they have eaten something they shouldn’t. As an experienced veterinary nurse, Karen will also cover what you should do as an owner to keep your pets as happy and healthy as possible.
Our free public talks are held each month to ignite discussion and share interesting ideas and knowledge with everyone. Whether you’re a student, professional, or simply a curious person, our lectures are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
