About this Event
Welcome to The.Together.Project - Big Event!
Come join us at Love & Death, Belfast from 7:30-late for a night of craic where we are interviewing Irish boxing legend, Tyrone McKenna, listening to class music from , Belfast Funk Foundation, and ending the night with incredible sets from local DJs, Stevie Nichols, Terri Hooley and Stevie Latz.
Shoutout to LittleWing and Love & Death for being sound and giving us all a free slice and drink on arrival.
What are we about? Well, loosely speaking, we want to change our local communities. We are sick of our representatives begging for our votes, only to ignore us and create more division once elected. We deserve better, as do our children. We want to do this as a collective across all backrounds and beliefs - this is us against the small number of self-serving people.
Some topics are close to our hearts - the genocide in Gaza and the rise in poverty are two of those. Whilst donations help charities, what we really need is to hold our MPs and councillors to account, which is where you and The.Together.Project comes in; we need the people to call them out when they don't align to their constituents.
How? Using funds from events like tonight, we are going to advertise their voting records, publish their donors, highlight their questions in Parliament in ways that will reach everyone and anyone. Social media is often useless - the things that we share are only seen by those who think the same way. We need new pairs of eyes on our messages.
Alongside the spend on advertising, we are also going to donate 20% of our proceeds to Medical Aid for Palestinians and the Simon Community. These charities may change over time and will be chosen based on the issues you see globally and locally - it is about coming Together.
