Therapist Meet-Up | Downtown Vancouver OPEN STUDIO

Hello fellow therapist!

Therapy can be lonely work. Building community is a cornerstone of self-care and burnout-prevention for us. Come by the studio to make friends, build community and have some creative self-care time. This meetup is open to counsellors, art therapists, massage therapists, yoga therapists - if you have therapist in your title, it is for you!

The studio is a smaller space that can comfortably accomodate 7 guests. We can get to know each other better in this format ☺️

We'll have snacks, make art and chat. Share what you're working on, how your season is going and soak up the environment of community care.

This open studio runs once a month, usually on Saturday afternoons. If you can't make it this time around but think you might want to join in the future, fill out this form to be added to the email list.

SOME GUIDELINES

This is not a formal networking event or guided workshop. You are welcome to bring business cards, however, the focus of the event is more about community-building rather than pitching yourself or building referral sources.

We don't want this event to feel like work, so there are a few guidelines to keep this event community-minded. I kindly ask that we limit conversations around specific client consultations or strategies for practice building. If there is a therapist present that you want to learn from, please approach them to set up a consultation within their working hours. Let's honour each other's capacity and need for downtime.

This open studio is facilitated by counsellor + art therapist Elspeth Robertson in Vancouver, BC on JUNE 22 from 3:00-5:00 pm. It is a drop-in format, so you don't have to stay for the entire time if you don't want to!

The art studio is located in a beautiful heritage building in downtown Vancouver. The building has 3-steps at the entrance and unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.

You will have access studio supplies and there will be an art prompt to follow (if you want to get crafty!). In the studio, you will find:

• Coloured paper, cardstock, construction paper, mixed media paper
• Pencils, coloured pencils, felt tip markers, wax crayons, oil pastels, chalk pastels
• Watercolour paint, tempera paint
• Magazine cut-outs, scissors, glue
  

YOUR INVESTMENT

• This open studio is offered for $25 (+GST). This fee reflects the set up + cleanup time and purchase of snacks.

Refunds & Cancellations

• If you can no longer attend, please let Elspeth know so a spot can be opened up for someone else. You will receive a refund if you cancel within 24 HOURS of the event.
