We invite you to an 8-week journey into the Christian understanding of the human body and sexuality, based on the 8th chapter of Foundations of the Christian Faith by Timothy Tennent, titled For the Body. This course will explore the theological depth of the body and sexuality as part of God's creation, its spiritual significance, and its role in our discipleship.

Weekly Lessons:
1. Our Bodies are Speaking to Us – Discover how our physical bodies reflect spiritual truths and communicate essential aspects of God's design.
2. Marriage Points to Spiritual Mysteries – Learn how the covenant of marriage reveals deeper spiritual mysteries about our relationship with God.
3. Children as a Reflection of the Trinity – Explore the theological significance of children and how their relationships reflect the image of the Trinity.
4. Singleness, Celibacy, and Same-Sex Friendships – Delve into the Christian perspective on singleness, celibacy, and the importance of same-sex friendships.
5. Our Sacramental Presence in the World – Understand how our physical presence in the world is sacramental, embodying Christ’s love and mission.
6. Our Bodies in Art and Media – Discuss the portrayal of the human body in art and media, and how it shapes or distorts our understanding of the body’s sanctity.
7. The Bible and Homosexuality – Study biblical teachings on sexuality, and examine the contemporary discussions on homosexuality within the church.
8. A Way Forward – Reflect on how to move forward as the body of Christ in a world with diverse views on sexuality, identity, and embodiment.
