Eau Claire-based Them Coulee Boys perform a wide variety of folk, rock and country that generate wild swings of emotion - it is not unusual to see concertgoers in tears and minutes later dancing with abandon. The honesty and ability to sing about the feelings and emotions that shape them has endeared the group to a growing number of fans.
The group has 4 full-length albums and an EP behind them, including 2019’s Die Happy (produced byTrampled By Turtles’ Dave Simonett ) and 2021’s Namesake. Their fifth album, No Fun in the Chrysalis, is due in 2025.
Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold features Duluth singer-songwriter Danny Frank with a three-piece backing band consisting of banjo player Harrison Olk, bassist Joe Scarpellino and fiddle savant Erin Aldridge, the concert master for the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. Steeped in musical traditions of folk, bluegrass, country, classic rock, and blues, Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold offers a genre-blending Americana sound that is captivating, invigorating, and sure to get your toe tapping.
