TAF 2025 is structured to be more than just performances. Here are the program elements:
Stage productionsāplays, theatrical performances from artists across Africa.
Street theatreāpublic performances, perhaps outdoors or in non-traditional spaces.
Generation Next Theatre for Secondary Schoolsāengaging younger performers from secondary schools.
Stakeholders Roundtableādiscussions involving theatre practitioners, producers, possibly sponsors, and media to talk about challenges, innovation, and growth.
Thespian Niteāan evening event celebrating performance, maybe a more formal theatre showcase.
š„ Jury & Awards
The TAF Awards will recognize excellence in African theatre productions.
Norbert Young, veteran Nollywood actor, has been appointed as Jury Chair.
The jury includes people from across Africa and beyond, e.g., Lydia Gifty Hagan (Ghana), Kehny Obafemi (Canada), Mamela J. Aisha J. Rafahlema (South Africa), Jacinta MacJob (Nigeria), etc.
The call for entries was open until August 30, 2025, for stage production submissions.
