The Yorkshire Flea begin their 2025 season of flea markets on Easter Sunday April 20th 2025. We like to commemerate the dates of our flea with significant historical events that share the date and this first event tips its hat to the the very famous and massively consequential speech by Oliver Cromwell on this day in 1653 as he dismissed the Long Parliament from the House of Commons establishing the primacy of parliament over the divine right of kings. Cromwells speech was a mere 200 words and ends with the phrase "In the name of God go!The Yorkshire Flea was established in 2017 and typically presents a retail event with around 100 dealers in antique and vintage items in an indoor step free venue with a onsite cafe, accessible toilets and ample free parking. The organisers Helen Bowman and Ben Wray have been organising antique and vintage fairs for over 30 years. The Flea Markets we run have items for the 18th 19th and 20th centuries and include pictures and prints, furniture, ceramics, glass, treen, textiles, lighting, vintage signage, maps, graphic art sculpture, metalware vintage toys and magazines ,jewellery natural history specimens, taxidermy and curiousities of all kinds.
We attract exhibitors from all over the north of england and beyond and our promotion and marketing of the flea markets is well regarded, professional and widespread The fleamarket is supported by trained medical first aid responders and a competent and friendly crew.
Admission to the Flea Market is £3 per adult and acompanied children under 16 are admitted free of charge. Dogs on leads are permitted in the venue. We suggest that you allow at least an hour for your visit. The admission tickets are available on the door on the event day.
