AGAR in collaboration with Early Music Access Project Charlottesville, and the Lynchburg Arts Consortium of the University of Lynchburg.
Early Music Access Project is commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette’s visit to Thomas Jefferson at Charlottesville, Monticello, and the University of Virginia in 1824. EMAP artistic director David McCormick has curated a program including music that may have been played for the occasion by the Scott family Fiddlers, of Black and Indigenous descent, and French songs that Lafayette and Jefferson admired.

There will be a short meet-and-greet between the performers and the audience.
