About this Event
Tim Hedley-Jones will give a talk for the Victorian Society about the work of the Railway Heritage Trust in preserving and restoring this wonderful heritage. The Trust celebrates its fortieth birthday in 2025, and in that time has awarded over 2000 grants totalling almost £70m. Tim will focus on some recent projects in Yorkshire, and discuss some of the challenges facing our built railway heritage at a time of significant economic, societal and environmental change.
This is our first use of the Adelphi, a notable Victorian pub. It is a ten minute walk from the railway station and just across Leeds Bridge, in a beautifully regenerated area. It is also close to the Bus Station, and at the end of Briggate. You can buy food here before and after the event.
