About this Event
Celebrate the wonders of decomposition at Eliza Howell Park and how healthy forests keep going. We will look at the many stages of decay, from beetles to slime molds in the leaves, on and under logs, and even in the air! Birds help with decomposition too!
As this field trip coincides with the Day of the Dead, feel free to come dressed as your favorite fungi. 😊
The walk will be on footpaths through the woods for about 1 ½ miles.
We will meet a little more than halfway along the loop, near the kiosk.
Leaders: Mara Crawford and Kathy Garrett
