The Music and Drama Group proudly present their 2025 Pantomime - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Nigel Holmes.The story begins with a kind girl called Dorothy, her cheeky dog Toto and dear Aunt Em trapped in a twirling, whirling storm that whisks them away from their Home Farm. Once the storm is over, they realise they are not at home anymore and Dorothy is held as a heroine for killing The Witch of the East. They start on an adventure meeting new friends along the way to get back home and seek an audience with the great Wizard of Oz. Little do they know, the Evil Wicked Witch of the West stalks their every step trying to thwart their plans and get her hands of the famous slippers.
On their journey they meet some familiar faces and new characters, - the North Witch, the South Witch, a Princess made of china, a Prince who is lost in the wrong pantomime looking for his princess to kiss, a Scarecrow in need of some brains, a Tinman in need of a heart, a rather Cowardly Lion looking for his courage, the Guardian of the Gate and of course, The Great Wizard of Oz
