About this Event
This Is Not Just Another Event.
It’s a cultural awakening. A sacred interruption. A bold return to voice.
At the Women With Stories Storytelling Festival, we’re blending the power of a stage with the intimacy of the circle.
Yes, there will be voices on stage, women who’ve lived, lost, healed, and risen. But the heart of this gathering lies in what happens when you speak, too.
Because this isn’t just about watching others. It’s about being witnessed in a space that welcomes YOUR story.
Our Journey So Far”
This is not our beginning - this is the deepening. The Women With Stories movement began in 2016, when a single vulnerable story shared online sparked a global ripple. That moment became a movement reminding women everywhere that survival is not the end, it’s a beginning. Since then, TWWS has grown into a storytelling ecosystem that’s seen:
– A global conference in Lagos with women from three countries
– A podcast launch on International Women’s Day
– Strategic partnerships with organizations like KPMG, Tech Herfrica, and The Mom Complex (USA)
– A first-of-its-kind festival in Abuja, where 200+ women gathered in raw, unfiltered story circles
Now in our 7th year, and hosting our 5th flagship event, we are not just creating space, we are shifting culture. This festival builds on the legacy of voices that have come before and the brave ones yet to speak.

Why This Matters
The world keeps quoting the data:
"1 in 3 women will face violence."
"Millions battle depression silently."
"Most will never tell their story."
But we know the truth: Stories are more than statistics. They are survival. They are strength. They are strategy for the next woman coming behind you.
We’re shifting the narrative from silence and shame to voice, visibility, and legacy.
Who Should Attend?
If you’ve ever:
- Lived through something that nearly silenced you
- Wanted to be seen without needing to perform
- Craved sisterhood without judgment
- Needed a place to put your pain or your power
Then this space was made for you.
Whether you’re a grassroots leader or a C-suite exec, a teen ambassador or a woman finding her voice again, you’re invited. You are enough.
Your Story Belongs in the Room.
You don’t need to have the perfect words. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to show up with your story.
Because this is where transformation begins. And healing grows louder when shared.
