About this Event
The Women of Impact Awards laud exemplary women for their significant community contributions through civic work, volunteerism, business leadership, and philanthropy. Initiated in 1989, this annual event shines a light on women in Miami-Dade County whose dedication has meaningfully influenced others. Celebrating its 35th year, the 2024 ceremony applauds the efforts of Barbara Fonte, Suzy Lord, Rose Martin, Jacquelyn Porter, Stephanie V. Daniels, Lynette Long, Julie Robison, and Métris Batts-Coley. Legacy Awards will honor Dr. Helen McGuire, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and Roslyn Berrin for enduring excellence, while Aracely Olvera receives the Everyday Hero Award. This event is a testament to the Women’s History Coalition of Miami-Dade's dedication to women's historical and ongoing societal contributions.
