About this Event
The Wolves, a play by Sarah DeLappe, has received multiple awards, and was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It is the story of nine teenage girls who warm up each week for their indoor soccer games, as they try to understand the world around them, as well as the complexities of their own coming of age. The play unapologetically explores what it’s really like to be a teenager, navigating that precarious time of life, as they discuss friendship, sexuality, politics and grief. As the team warms up and goes through their drills, they engage in dialogue that is both complex and starkly simple, and at times is like a great symphony of sound. The characters are complex and fascinating. They are warriors. They are the Wolves.
