Moving beyond modern romanticized witchcraft, this course examines the lived cosmology of early modern Britain: a world shaped by cunning folk, fairy faith, demonology, land-spirits, and Christian magical frameworks. Through historical texts, trial records, folklore, and magical practice, students will gain a grounded, practical understanding of traditional British witchcraft as it was traditionally practiced,
