Join us for an enchanting evening as Lisa guides us through "The Wise Woman's Hero Journey." We'll delve into the transformative power of the Age of Aquarius and the resurgence of Divine Feminine energy. Inspired by Joseph Campbell’s iconic concept of the Hero’s Journey, which suggests that every woman is the protagonist of her own epic tale, we will embark on a collective quest to uncover the hero within each of us.
Throughout this journey, Lisa will share insights from her research, highlighting the importance of community, joy, self-awareness, and the power of women's networks. She will emphasize the significance of sharing our stories, because we must understand ourselves to understand our story.
For one magical night, over a glass of wine, we will embark on an adventure to uncover the stages of your own personal Journey — from the call to adventure to the triumphant return— uncovering the hero within us and discovering how these stages mirror our own lives.
Together, we will explore the cosmos of our inner selves, celebrate our divine feminine energy, and emerge stronger, wiser, and more connected.
Who am I ?
A nurse, a teacher, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend.
I was born in country NSW, the only girl in a family with three brothers. I am the first woman in three generations in my family and I feel that this has lead me on a path requiring me to work, earn, stand up and speak.
I am an adventurer, relocating to central Australia for my post graduate year at the ripe old age of 21 years. Alice Springs in the 1990’s was an adventure! I travelled Europe for a year before heading to the Gold Coast and enrolling to become an Naturopath. I did not complete this course as I fell in love with an Englishman and returned to London for another year. I returned home to work in the local hospital where I grew up and then we drove to Perth. My first child was born in Perth and my second was born back on the Gold Coast.
Our marriage suffered DV and I was to become a single mum before my second child was born. I retrained as a teacher so that I could work full time and support my family. I won a scholarship from the Royal College of Nursing to complete a Masters in Adult Education. This always makes me smile.
And now, at the age of 55 years I have just completed my fourth degree - a Doctorate in Adult Education. I feel like life is just beginning.
