History and Legacy:
Gaomin Temple holds a distinguished reputation among Chinese temples, renowned for its focus on Zen meditation and enlightenment. With its elevated Zen tradition and abundant talent, Gaomin Temple takes as its mission the promotion of the Gaomin lineage and the liberation of all sentient beings. To continue this tradition, several Zen masters from China established the Gaomin Zen Meditation Center in North America.

Rooted in Zen Buddhism’s understanding of the truth of life, the center engages in education, charity, culture, health, and other fields.
Vision:
May all sentient beings in the Dharma realm be free from suffering and find happiness, ultimately realizing the freedom and perfection of life.
- Master Hui Ming, Ph.D. in Engineering, Southeast University in Nanjing and studied at Vanderbilt University in the US from 2008 to 2010. Before ordination, he served as a postgraduate supervisor at Jiangsu University. In 2015, he ordained under Venerable Shangzhi Xiaguang at Dingshan Temple in Nanjing and received full ordination in 2016 at Zhenru Temple on Yunju Mountain, Jiangxi. He later visited renowned Zen monasteries such as Gao Min Temple, Wo Long Temple, and Da Xian Tong Temple, etc, studying Zen Buddhism under various esteemed teachers. In June 2024, Master Hui Ming arrived in the United States with the aspiration to promote Chinese Zen Buddhism and guide sentient beings.
- Master Hong Jing became a monastic in Sichuan in 2015 and spent four years studying and practicing Mahayana teachings at the monastery of their teacher, receiving detailed guidance in meditation during that time. In 2019, through auspicious circumstances, He moved to Mount Wutai to continue their practice, staying there until 2023. During this period, he participated in meditation retreats at the meditation halls of Pu Hua Temple and Xian Tong Temple, gaining unique insights from both. Wishing to share the modest benefits of their practice with others, He aspires for the Dharma to endure and bring benefit and joy to all sentient beings.
- Venerable Benkong was born and raised in Chile. He encountered the Buddha's teachings in 2020. Deeply moved by their profound impact on his life, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to studying and practicing the Dharma, developing a strong aspiration for monastic life. After earning a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2021, he actively participated in community activities inspired by the teachings of the Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, founder of the Plum Village tradition. On November 9, 2024, he received tonsure under the guidance of Venerable Master Xuan Ji.
