Instructor: Robert Bowden

While our northern neighbors are hunkered down amidst bitter cold and snow, those of us that are fortunate to live in Orlando are growing a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. Broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, peas, beans, cucumbers, and squash to name a few can be grown here during the winter months. Enjoy a fun-filled presentation by Robert Bowden as he provides tips on how to raise cool season veggies in Orlando. This class will be limited to 25 guests so be sure to sign up soon. At the end of the class everyone will receive a package of vegetable seeds!

Robert Bowden recently retired as Executive Director of Leu Gardens after nearly three decades. Earlier he was the Executive Director of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Director of Horticulture of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. He is the author of many books including: Florida Fruit & Vegetable Gardening: Plant, Grow, and Harvest the Best Edibles. He also teaches several horticulture classes at Valencia State College.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.

Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
