Celebrate the time of the longest nights with this delightful seasonal performance of Solstice stories and songs from around the world. The Winter Solstice has always been a time for gathering and Edgecomb’s powerful adaptations bring to life the traditional tales that were told at this time from the haunting Norse myth Baldur and the Mistletoe to Native American and Tanzanian stories of how the animal kingdom brought light and life during the darkest times. The performance is accompanied by long time collaborators Margot Chamberlain on Celtic harp and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan bringing both original and revitalized songs of the season and instrumentals to round out the entertainment. Winner of both the national and regional Oracle awards for her storytelling Edgecomb brings passion humor and depth to her revitalized adaptations of these ancient tales. After the performance complimentary seasonal refreshments will be served. This enchanting celebration of the Solstice has been a beloved Boston tradition for over thirty years.
"A storyteller in the grand tradition Edgecomb is a virtuoso of the spoken word and an entire cast rolled into one." - Publisher's Weekly
