About this Event
Join an intimate, hands-on workshop guided by Master Gardener Merry Ellen Ackema, where a neglected outdoor space is transformed—step by step—into a beautiful, thriving garden.
This is a two-day workshop taking place on the weekend of Jan 17th-18th. Each day will be from 10 AM- 3 PM at a private residence in Carlsbad, CA. Please bring a packed lunch for the midday break.
Over two spacious days, you’ll learn by doing as we:
- Clear
- Prepare and enrich the soil
- Install simple, efficient irrigation
- Plant edible herbs, greens, and seasonal favorites
- Create a welcoming seating area
You’ll leave with practical skills, deeper confidence, and a clear understanding of how to bring this transformation into your own garden—no matter the size or starting point.
This small-group gathering is designed for meaningful guidance, thoughtful questions, and hands-on learning that can only happen in the garden itself.
