Join us for a day at Shiz! Kidchella x The Tribe Collective collab to bring you a wickedly exciting day!
9:00am- Sorting Ceremony. You’ll be taken to Assembly and sorted into Team Glinda (pink) and Team Elphaba (Green). Our “Professors” will go over the school rules and our timetable for the day. You will also be assigned a “roommate” from the opposite team who you’ll do activities with throughout the day.
9:30am- “Loathing” Bracelet making.
You’ll make a bracelet for your roommate in either pink or green (depending on your Team) to swap with your roommate. This will be your tie to your roommate at Shiz long after our time together.
10:15am- “Nobody Mourns The Wicked”. Here our Wellness professor will explore “wicked” and “good” behaviours and ask our young students to mark on a diagram whether the actions of Glinda the “good” and Elphaba the “wicked” were indeed kind or not so kind. This is an exercise in not judging based on appearance and leads a discussion about inclusion, diversity and values.
11:00am- Morning Tea
11:30am- Singing Practice. Our Shiz Students work with our vocal coaches on the words to “What Is This Feeling” and “Dancing Through Life” which will be our performance pieces later in the day.
12:00pm- lunch
12:30pm- Wicked Art. Our Creative Professor helps all students to create gorgeous Wicked water coloured art on their own canvas to keep!
1:15pm- Potions class. Our Science Professor helps our Shiz students create their own wicked slime to take home and keep!
2:00pm- Dance rehearsal for Dancing Though Life and “What is This Feeling?”.
2:45pm- Afternoon Tea
3:00pm- Glinda’s Glam Bar. Our Beauty Queen Glinda gets you all ready for graduation with pink or green face glitter and gems in preparation for our BIG ceremony
3:30pm- Graduation. Here we film “Tik Tok” style our What is This Feeling and Dancing Through Life pieces – which will be edited and uploaded to socials as a memory of the day!
4:00pm- It time to say goodbye after a busy day. Youll leave with a shiz university certificate and a few little gifts from us…….. Until we meet again!
Whats the best age for this experience?
We just love Shiz Students s of all ages however we recommend the experience would be most enjoyable for children aged 6-13.
Is this event just for girls?
Absolutely not! We encourage all Wicked fans to attend!
Can I stay?
Parents are very welcome to stay on the premises during the experience if the wish however the activity areas will be at capacity for participating Shiz students.
How is safety catered for?
Rest assured all of our staff are working with children checked, we have a first aid officer on site & if you need us to know about an medical conditions or food allergies please email us – [email protected] or let us know on check in!
What should we pack?
Please pack a drink, morning & afternoon tea & lunch for your Shiz student. We ask that your food choices contain no nuts. Please make sure you label all of your childs items.
Whats your cancellation Policy?
As you can imagine the experience is super popular. Cancellations prior to 14 days before the event attract a 75% refund. Cancellation after that point will result in a voucher issued to the amount of the experience that may be used at any Kidchella event within a 12 month period from issue.
