A “Pint and a Play” returns to County Clare’s Joyce Room this Halloween weekend as Milwaukee Irish Arts presents a reading of Conor McPherson’s haunting, award-winning play THE WEIR.Picture yourself in Brendan’s isolated pub on Ireland’s storm-swept west coast. Four men gather by the fire, their pints and their tales flowing freely. When a woman arrives from the city, they try to impress her with stories of spirits and souls that linger near. But one story cuts deeper—revealing a truth more chilling and more human than any of them could have foreseen.
The Weir is a rich, ghost-lit meditation on human connection, hope, and the power of storytelling.
