This is the launch night of the brand new Weardale Open Mic Series, starting right here at the Grey Bull in Stanhope.A relaxed, warm and welcoming evening of music, songs, poems, stories and anything creative you would like to share.
Open Mic nights in the valley will run as a rotating circuit through a handful of local pubs, keeping the winter months lively and giving residents and musicians something steady to enjoy.
This is a community project, not a commercial venture.
The aim is simple:
• bring people together
• support local pubs
• create a friendly space for talent in the dale
• keep the valley buzzing through winter
If you want to perform, brilliant. If you want to watch and enjoy the atmosphere, just as good.
Everyone is welcome.
