About this Event
Workforce Diversity Network, Inc. (WDN) is a 501c3 nonprofit which has operated in the Rochester region for the past 28 years. Its mission is to provide DEI professional development and networking among its nonprofit, government, and corporate members.
Its purpose is educational - focused on enhancing the workforce and providing affordable cutting-edge services (rooted in research and practical skill development). These are services that most organizations most likely cannot afford when contracting proprietary DEI contractors. Thus, supporting DEI initiatives is especially important at a time when these efforts are misunderstood, often being eliminated or downsized across the country, both in corporations and educational institutions.
Professional development and networking opportunities are offered to a variety of professionals within each organization, including DEI and HR staff, managers and other stakeholders; the emphasis is to diffuse learnings within the organization, then enhancing productivity in the workplace.
