Join us for a powerful and moving retelling of The Way of the Cross, a live outdoor theatrical presentation depicting the final days of Jesus Christ—His last supper, arrest, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection.
For over 150 years, Christian churches in Bendigo have united to bring this incredible story to life through drama, music, and specialized lighting. In 2024, over 2,400 people gathered in Rosalind Park to witness this unforgettable event, and we invite you to be part of it this Good Friday with a predicted crowd of almost 3 thousand people!
Originally a key part of Bendigo’s 150-year Easter Festival tradition, The Way of the Cross was revived in 2022 after several years on pause. Directed by Julie Lovell, this year's performance continues the legacy, offering a fresh and impactful portrayal of Jesus’ journey to the cross and resurrection.
