Hop on the Bus for a Behind the Scenes Film Location Adventure!Join us for a one-of-a-kind bus tour through Durham Region, visiting 7–8 filming locations from the beloved series The Way Home, which shoots in Durham Region.
Five municipalities of Durham Region have come together to offer their stories about filming The Way Home in their backyard
Travel in comfort aboard a chartered motor coach (yes, there’s a washroom on board!) with 52 fellow fans and friends.
Along the way, enjoy fun games, our developed show trivia, lots of laughs, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
At the physical route stops, you’ll step off the bus to explore, snap some great photos, hear behind-the-scenes stories about filming from the municipal film offices, and learn a little local history. Some stops even include time to browse, shop, or take part in special activities.
It’s the perfect day out for fans of the show—and a great way to discover the charm of our local communities.

The Way Home Film Location Bus Tour Itinerary
8:15am Bus Departs (Pickering Town Centre)
9:10am The Landry Farm Drive-by (Pickering)
9:30am Elliot’s Farm Drive-by (Pickering)
The drive-bys are strictly drive-bys. Please note, that this tour will recognize that these locations are PRIVATE property.
The tour will stop at the public locations of:
10:20am Uxbridge where the scenes featuring the Roxy Theatre are shot
12:30pm Boxed Lunch on the Bus
1:00pm Port Perry which is transformed by the talents of scenic design into Port Haven for the series
3:00pm Oshawa to see Parkwood National Historic Site, the chosen location of mysterious Lingermore
5:00pm Ajax to see the beach location of The Cove
6:00pm Tour Concludes - Bus drop off (Pickering Town Centre)
