The War of 1812 is often regarded as “the forgotten war” in U.S. American history. In Europe they know little about it but in Canada they celebrate it! Northwest Ohio was in the center of the conflict between Great Britain and the USA. American Indians were caught in the middle and a violent and bloody conflict raged. Learn more about the War of 1812 and Northwest Ohio’s involvement with historian Taylor Moyer.
Taylor visited in 2024 and presented on the Northwest Ohio Indian Wars. The audience was thrilled and wanted to hear more so the War of 1812 is a natural next step in this part of the story.
Moyer is a State of Ohio educator. Nationally Certified Historic Interpreter and the Historic Programming Manager for the Black Swamp Intertribal Foundation.
Seating is first come, first served and the house was packed for the last program. Come early and prepare for an enjoyable evening of history.
