The War and Treaty, the award-winning husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, will bring their electrifying Plus One Tour to The Princess Theatre.
Since their founding in 2014, The War and Treaty has captivated audiences with their glorious fusion of country and soul. The duo’s phenomenal talent and daring originality have earned them two Americana Music Awards, two Grammy nominations, and multiple CMA and ACM nominations. Known for their heartfelt performances and unparalleled vocal chemistry, they have shared stages with icons like the Rolling Stones and Zach Bryan and performed at landmark venues including the Grand Ole Opry and the White House.
Recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, the pair’s latest album, Plus One, showcases their genre-defying artistry, encompassing the moody bluegrass romp of “Drink From Me,” the wildly ecstatic “Called You By Your Name,” and everything in between into 18 life-affirming tracks aimed at providing a shared experience of hope and healing and much-needed joy. Both exquisitely gifted vocalists, Michael and Tanya trade off verses all throughout Plus One to share their distinct perspective on their one-of-a-kind love story.
