THE WANDS: An Exploration of Tarot’s Fiery Suit – Workshop w/ B. Earl
In the PRS Library!
The Spark of Life. The Fire of Passion. The Suit of Wands is this beginning. It is the inspiration that must be formed into an idea before passing through the emotions and being realized here, on this material plane. But without that fire to ignite our soul we are clay beings going through the motions, more automaton than alive. In our current day, where technology seems to rule our lives, it is this spark that differentiates us from the machine.
During our workshop we will compare several decks’ interpretations as we did with the previous workshops. Our main focus will continue to be on the Rider-Waite-Smith, Thoth, and Marseilles decks, but there will be others included for comparison such as the Hermetic and Tarot of the Spirit. This workshop will be focused on how you can harness that inspiration, taking your passion and transforming it into your bliss. By studying the progression from one to ten, we will explore how we can harness our fire without letting it consume us as we forge our path in the new year!
The Minor Arcana, along with both its corresponding Court Cards and Major Arcana, holds so many keys to helping us through our daily lives. With writer and Tarot reader, B. Earl, we will continue this journey deeper into the next suit of these so-called “small cards.” This workshop is beginner-friendly and it’s suggested you bring a deck that you enjoy using for your studies! It is also not necessary to have attended the previous three workshops as each is a stand-alone entry into the overall series.
Bio:
B.Earl has been studying Tarot since the age of eleven, but only recently began exploring it in his public life. As a Marvel writer of such superheroes as Spider-Man and Daredevil, Earl uses his esoteric studies as both inspiration and structure in his narratives. As a storyteller, B.Earl’s journey has taken him from filmmaking to technology as well as from writing to teaching. Currently, B.Earl lives in Los Angeles with his puppy Mila and his son Liam and travels to New York to see his love, Liz.
