In short, Canada has not built the resilient institutional infrastructures needed to prepare us for the next big crisis.

At The Walrus Talks Canada’s Health Security, leaders and experts in health security and crisis initiatives will address how the country should prepare for extreme climate events, international hostilities, and the next health crisis. Where are the gaps in coordination? Does the new Health Emergency Readiness Canada agency have the resources to handle catastrophic events?
