Fancy tackling all 214 Wainwrights as part of a community - look no further! Over the next few months, we aim to work through all of the Wainwrights together! 🏔️What to expect:
ROUTE ONE: On the Greater Grisedale Horseshoe, you can expect a full day of classic Lake District hiking with plenty of variety. The route includes steep climbs, a grade 1 traverse of Striding edge (Scrambling on a narrow ridge), and rolling paths, offering a satisfying mix of challenges and rewards.
Along the way, you'll experience everything from dramatic ridgelines to peaceful tarns, all while immersing yourself in the rugged beauty of the Lake District. It's a tough but rewarding hike that promises incredible scenery and a true sense of accomplishment at the finish.
Ascent: 4921ft / 1500m
Peaks Included: 8 Wainwrights - Birkhouse Moor, Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike, Dollywaggon Pike, Seat Sandal, St Sunday Crag, Birks, Arnison Crag.
Great for: Intermediate hikers, who want to push themselves on a tougher challenge.
