The Volunteers (shortened: TVT) is an alternative rock band based in Seoul, South Korea. The band composes of Yerin Baek on vocals and guitar, Hyungseok Koh on bass, Jonny on guitar, and Chiheon Kim on drums.
Immediately after their formation in 2018, TVT started uploading self-produced demos on SoundCloud which ultimately saw over 3 million streams while their self-made music video scored over a million views, securing the band a passionate following even before any official release was announced. After much anticipation, the band officially debuted in 2021 with a self-titled album “The Volunteers” which was met with both public and critical acclaim, winning the band three nominations at the prestigious Korean Music Awards
