Plot: A classic farce by Dario Fo. A burglar is interrupted at work when the homeowner returns unexpectedly with his mistress in tow. Cue the arrival of various spouses and lovers, setting off a domino effect of mishaps and hilarity.

Burglar (Angelo Tornati): hapless; a bit bumbling; recently released from prison.
Burglar’s Wife (Maria Tornati): strong willed; tempestuous.
Man (Mr Frazosi): local councilor; haughty; obnoxious.
Woman (Julia): melodramatic; unpredictable; having an affair with Mr Frazosi.
Anna (Mrs Frazosi): sharp-witted; headstrong; married to Mr Frazosi.
Antonio: impulsive; jealous; having an affair with Anna.
Second Burglar: appears at the end of the play.
