BLUE RIDGE SINGERS ANNOUNCES CHRISTMAS CONCERT SERIES 2025
Shenandoah Valley VA - Blue Ridge Singers’ holiday 2025 programming presents “The Very Best Time of Year” for a special 17th season conducted by artistic director Dr. Jeffrey M. Alban. You are invited to join our cultured audiences who understand how deeply choral music can affect us and in many ways bring us “home” for the holidays.
Concert notes from Dr. Alban:
Choral music is one of the telltale signs of the Christmas season; it is all around us as recordings of holiday music accompany most all of our shopping ventures. We invite you to hear the real thing in person! Blue Ridge Singers will share choral music of the season: familiar tunes new arrangements of familiar tunes some music you probably weren’t expecting to hear (including Yodeling) and some original compositions old and new. Featured composers include: Owain Park Mark Burrows Susan LaBarr Jonathan Rathbone Maurice Duruflé Stacey V. Gibbs William Cutter Stephen Coker Deke Sharon Josh Sparkman and Molly Ijames. We will also include a tribute to Dr. James Laster. We hope this music brings you joy as we approach the upcoming holiday season – “The Very Best Time of Year.”

Blue Ridge Singers was formed in 2009 with a commitment to excellence education and community to young and old with a dedication to Senior Living while underscoring the importance of bringing rural arts to the surrounding communities.
