We’re having our first People’s Place dinner of the new year on Saturday, January 24th from 6 to 8 pm, and we hope you can be there! Our theme is the value of home. Together, we’ll explore what it means to have a home and be safely housed, and what it means to feel at home in our neighborhoods and communities. In People’s Place fashion, we’ll dig into these questions over a meal, with ample time for you to explore the meaning of home to yourself and other participants. This will be a family-friendly event, with childcare provided.
We’ll also feature the work of several powerful local organizations that are pushing for deeply affordable housing in our region. We’ll also offer some timely updates to the People’s Recovery campaign, our effort to ensure that the recovery from Helene center the voices, experiences, and needs of regular people. We’ll share the latest developments in the City of Asheville’s recovery-funded affordable housing plans, and suggest ways you can join us in advocating for more deeply affordable housing.
We hope you can join us Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church on the 24th. Space is limited, so we encourage you to RSVP today.
