About this Event
The Utopiates presents...
With the release of their second album 'Let's Make This Happen' in March the indie-electronic purveyors of grooove anthems, The Utopiates, couldn't miss out on the chance to celebrate the launch in their musical home of Leeds.
''This northern leg of proceedings sees us take-over Hyde Park Book Club ourselves on March 12th. Last time out was an absolute blast but technical difficulties and set length limitations meant we couldn't quite give our loyal and passionate Northern faction of fans the show we wanted.
We're doing it DIY this time out so more risk on us but the pay-off will be an even better party. This couldn't be more important to us here, so please come out and show support of the new music. We've listened to feedback though; we might drop one or two old classics if you behave. Love, The Utopiates **''
With the entire album being recorded at The Nave in Pudsey (Kaiser Chiefs, Yard Act) with producer Andy Hawkins (Maximo Park, Pigeon Detectives) Leeds is the place The Utopiates are making all of this happen. Singer Dan was born and raised in the area and there is no other place the band want to celebrate the release than here. With even more recent radio support from Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6) and John Kennedy (Radio X) 2026 looks to be the year the band reach out for much wider appeal.
Help them make this happen by starting the year with a sell-out session. Local supports and extra info to be announced soon...
