ABOUT THE BOOK: Mysteries of Mind
Mysteries of Mind is an inquiry from different disciplines like philosophy, psychology, spirituality and neuroscience. The book tries to blend approaches of different streams on topics like defining ourselves, search for happiness, memory, love and affection for others, superstition, language, free will, mindfulness, procrastination, attention, emotions, illusion and future of mind. These are the things that make us human, yet we know so little about them. These topics have been key points to ponder from the ancient Vedic civilization to the modern computer age. The book has stories of human minds, interesting psychological experiments, and underlying scientific explanations from neuroscientists.
ABOUT THE AUUTHOR: Sunil Mishra
Sunil is a software professional with over two decades of experience in the field of banking technology. Currently, he is working with Infosys in India in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and start-up ecosystem. He has earlier worked with McKinsey, Accenture and I-flex solutions.
Sunil is an MBA from IIM-Lucknow and holds a BTech from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad
Sunil has keen interest in writing, and he has previously authored 3 books viz. Who Stole My Job, Transit Lounge and Who Stole My Time. His current book "Mysteries of Mind' is a non-fiction.
About The Curator: Neeraj Sinha
Neeraj is a regular member of Urban Solace Book Lovers' Club. He loves reading but can't claim to be an avid reader. He reads whenever he gets time especially during his official travels. He reads books in almost all genres but his favorite genres are mythology, history, travelogues and thriller. His personal favorites are 'The Mahabharata', 'The Last Mughal', all stories of Arthur Conan Doyle and the Millennium trilogy. Professionally he works in an IT company as a capital market domain expert.
