About this Event

From a multimillion dollar sponsorship contract to deterioration of relationships within the board room, between a player and a coach, whether at international or national level, most sports disputes are suitable for mediation, particularly where there is a working relationship to maintain between parties.

Sport Resolutions will be hosting a session on the benefits of mediation in sports disputes on Thursday 2nd February 2023. The event will take place at the Sport Resolutions office, 1 Paternoster Lane, St Paul’s, London, EC4M 7BQ, between 18:00 and 20:00.

Carol Couse, Sport Resolutions panel member, FIFA mediator, and a partner at Mills & Reeve will be delivering the seminar with the aim of raising awareness and increasing knowledge around sport mediation, with a particular focus on how the mediation process works and how it can be implemented within existing dispute resolution frameworks.

Leanne O’Leary, Sport Resolutions mediator and a member of the World Netball Governance Committee, will also be providing her views on implementing mediation as part of sporting bodies’ existing dispute resolution processes, from an international perspective.
