A retreat to focus on the summer full moon and releasing what no longer serves you - concentrating on healing, rest and connection.
About this Event

A summer retreat to focus on the summer full moon and releasing what no longer serves you - concentrating on healing, resting and undoing the effects of stress, burnout and overwhelm. This retreat is like no other, a blend of self-discovery, connection, alternative healing and movement. You need no previous experience to take part. There is a large focus on community and bringing people together for a very slow, restful day with like-minded people. It is going to be SUCH a gorgeous day.

11am : Welcome circle, housekeeping + cacao shot

11:30: Intention setting + introductions,

12:15: Warming movement, hopefully outdoors - no yoga experience necessary

13:15: Value searching and self-discovery, using coaching prompts and quartz crystal programming we will spend time looking within to seek guidance on what to let go of and what to take forward

13:30: Leisurley Lunch - bring your own packed lunch, and enjoy our home baked goodies. Followed by an optional walk + talk through the local countryside surrounding the farm OR self-guided sensory downtime in the zen garden

15:00: A grounding and healing workshop incorporating Yin and Sound Healing with our wonderful friend Jo who is a crystal and sound healing facilitator. The yin will work with the meridians of the nervous system to truly facilitate healing and reset your nervous system.

16:30: Closing abundance ritual + group meditation to send your wishes into the universe

17:00: Goodbyes

Throughout the day there is an opportunity to break away and have a sound healing or 1-1 crystal healing session with Jo. These treatments are optional and not included in the price of the retreat. There is an additional charge which is paid directly to the therapists in the day of £25, worth every penny.

The fee for these retreats is usually £85 - £95 however I really want to offer this as a pay what you can event, I am surrounded by wonderful women in my life and work who are struggling and could benefit from these sessions but cannot justify the cost and I really want to reach out and create a true community of women. The fee for the retreat is £65 but there is also a pay what you can option for those that cannot reach the full price.

As always, you are in control of the day - take yourself off for a breather, skip a session, be non-verbal, have a lie down - whatever it is, please to honour your needs. It can be anxiety inducing coming to events and we understand that, but knowing how beneficial The Pink Room community can be I encourage you to book anyway. As always, you are welcome to be as you are - no masking required, althought that is easier said than done.

Women only. We are LGBTQIA Inclusive 🌈🌈.

~ ACCESSIBILITY ~

What am I doing to make this inclusive for ADHD, Autism, Fatigue + Chronic Illness?

  • the agenda is outlined above, we won't vary from this format
  • you are able to contact me before the event with any questions (at all)
  • operating a non-judgement anti-ableist environment, with the understanding that it is impossible to cater totally to everyone's specific needs BUT I will do my absolute best.
  • giving you the opportunity to share relevant triggers and needs before the session, for me to try to accommodate
  • background music kept to a minimum
  • a later start and much longer transition periods
  • giving clear instructions and consequence explanations throughout
  • allowing you an opportunity to "un-mask" if you are able to
  • no touch without consent
  • coming from a lived experience of neuro-divergency
  • the group size is kept small to 12 people

What I expect from you?

I want you to come along and have a good time, feel heard, rested and to feel able let your mask down for a few hours. Feel free to bring your own yoga tools, blankets, fidget and sensory aids, loops/defenders - whatever you need as long as it doesn't significantly intrude on other peoples experience. I will expect a non-judgement approach to your interactions with others in the group, and to try to use active listening. If excessive talking is a trait of yours, I may gently guide you to bring what you are saying to a close. You are also free to keep yourself to yourself - in this space there are no social expectations.

Accessibility:

Location - This space is unfortunatley not wheelchair accessible, there are stairs down to the house and also down to the field. There are toilets on the ground floor, but the meditation room and kitchen is upstairs - most of the activities will be on one level.

Physical limitations - We will spend a lot of time seated on the floor on a cushion or block, the sunshine seated flow can be done from a chair but the yin needs to be done from the floor so lower limb mobility is needed. The class will involve some controlled relaxing breathing. If you have specific limitations please contact Ella to discuss how she can modify the practice: [email protected].

Visual accessibility - the space will be well lit throughout and there will be no adjustment to the lighting if you have a visual limitation affected by low lighting, please inform Ella so she doesn't darken the room for the final relaxation.

Sound - there are no induction loops in the venue. There is no echo, and background music will only be played when there is no dialogue.

LGBTQIA Inclusion - all women welcome, inclusive of trans women and non-binary people who feel at ease in women's spaces

Mental health - Ella is trauma aware, however not mental health first aid trained. She has a wealth of personal experience dealing with mental health crises, however no qualifications to deal with complex mental health. If you have a specific trigger that is relevant to the class and can be avoided please speak to Ella via email before.

Price: as with all our events there is the option of a pay what you can ticket, just email Ella [email protected] to arrange.
