The aims of 'The Ultimate Relaxation' workshops are to give you tools to take away to use in your everyday life, to enhance your wellbeing, as well as time for self reflection on aspects of your life to bring you more peace and happiness.
Each session is themed differently, but some aspects will stay the same.
This month's theme is: Setting Boundaries
From childhood, we’re often taught to bend and mold ourselves to make others comfortable. Sometimes this messaging is implied (as in school dress codes, for instance), and sometimes it is direct (“I don’t’ care if you don’t want to hug your grandfather, it’s rude not to!”), but the one truth is that it’s always there.
So it’s no wonder some of us find it difficult to set appropriate boundaries as we get older. We don’t want to offend or hurt others, even when that avoidance ultimately means hurting ourselves. We’ve been taught from a young age to put the feelings of others ahead of our own needs, to the point that many of us don’t even know the answer to the question, “What are boundaries?”
Let's come together to look at what boundaries mean and how we can use them effectively in our personal and professional life.
The session also includes:
Gentle movement (a mixture of stretching, somatic movement and yoga). This is suitable for all levels.
Breathing strategies
Affirmations
Journaling (linked to the theme of the session).
Hypnotic meditation (this will be recorded and sent to you for use at home).
These sessions are open to all genders. Any sharing is completely optional.
