While most New York City neighborhoods are best explored by walking their streets, eating their food, or drinking their wine, Greenwich Village is best appreciated by doing all three. From historic sites and a secret residence to tasting the neighborhood's most mouth-watering bites and beverages, it's time to uncover this iconic neighborhood like never before.
Join New York Adventure Club as we venture through the winding tree-lined streets of Greenwich Village and uncover its rich New York history and story, with delicious neighborhood food and wine stops along the way.
Led by Alex Tervooren, local expert and owner of Food Strolls Guided Tours, and his brother Matt, a certified level 3 sommelier who regularly hosts events for celebrities, our unique neighborhood adventure will include:
- A custom made route that showcases the neighborhood’s architectural history, landmarked buildings, and food
- Stops along the way to learn more about the neighborhood's role in the immigration story of New York City
- The scoop on modern-day Greenwich Village, including its pop culture role as a setting in countless movies and TV shows
- Five separate food stops at classic Greenwich Village institutions
- Five different wines poured throughout the tour, all chosen by Matt the sommelier to pair best with each bite
- A trip inside a swanky private apartment where you’ll get the skinny on one of Greenwich Village’s most iconic blocks
