MT Arms are an exciting, Cumbrian, loud, 3 piece electric R&B band, who are building an enviable reputation on the rhythm and blues circuit. We are a three piece band producing a full, loud, unique sound. We play a mix of classic covers and original material. Classic covers include Classic Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Thin Lizzy.Playing several sessions recently, including one at the Tate Britain in London as part of an exhibition celebrating Cumbrian art. They have also rocked the Hebden Bridge blues festival and spread their style of infectious blues further into Yorkshire playing sets in Skipton; Halifax and Huddersfield. The band delivered marathon sessions, some from the back of a mobile stage, at last year’s highly successful Maryport Blues Festival. And the Iron Ore Festival in August, rounded off the band’s summer in style, with Lead guitarist/singer Colin Nichol, becoming ‘the face of the festival’, with an image of him from his time at the mine in the 1970’s, emblazoned across festival goers t-shirts!
