Our hypersexualized secular society tells youth that sexual activity is healthy and desireable, at any age, as long as it is engaged in consensually. Unfortunately the research proves the exact opposite - even if a youth does not get pregnant or contract an STI, youth sex is connected to negative, often life long consequences:
- reduced physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health
- less attachment to parents, school and faith
- early failed relationships often leads to a pattern of failed relationships in adulthood
- more sexual partners make it difficult to bond to someone for life
- increased depression and suicide - females 3x, males 8x
- reduced academic achievment and lifelong earning potential
- increased exposure to crime, drugs and sex trafficking
