About this Event

Welcome to The Triumph of Women: Artistic Narratives of Migration and Integration!

Join us at Edmonds Community School for a captivating event celebrating the resilience and creativity of women through art.

  • As immigrants, we bring a mix of cultures, traditions, and experiences that make our communities richer. By telling stories and expressing ourselves through art, we can highlight the beauty of our diversity and how it makes our society stronger.

Each of us has a unique journey, full of challenges, successes, and growth. When we share our experiences openly, we celebrate our differences and build connections based on understanding and empathy.

Your Voice Matters!

In our workshops, you have the freedom to narrate your story using your name or alias, ensuring privacy and respect for every participant. You can write your story in your native language, as our team will translate it into English for publication in the form of an e-book, preserving and sharing your valuable experiences.

This event is completely free, with childcare provided!

We'll also have delicious food from around the world and many performances to enjoy from 3:00pm To 5:00 pm..

Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired and moved by the power of art and storytelling.

See you there!

Presented as part of Connect Fest Burnaby with the generous support of the United Way
