Journey into the past and explore the fascinating and macabre world of Victorian mourning customs with the Traveling Museum of Memento Mori. Come face to face with artifacts nearly 200 years old that the Victorians used after someone died, including postmortem photography, jewelry made from human hair, women's mourning attire, coffin plates, a spirit trumpet, Frozen Charlottes, and even a "tear catcher." Curator, Amanda R. Woomer will be available to answer any questions. Copies of some of her books, including The Art of Grieving: The Beauty Behind Victorian Mourning Customs, will be available for purchase.
