Saint Francis died just after sunset on October 3, 1226. He was surrounded by his brothers and close friends where they prayed together.
This event is solemnly recalled each year by Franciscans to honor their holy Father's entrance into joy.
Join us for a short prayer service following St. Padre Pio Parish's 6:30 PM Mass. There will be a reading from the life of St. Francis and a reflection by Fr. John Getsy OFM Cap. Refreshments will follow.
